अंधेरे के बीच

अंधेरे के बीच मैं आया इस धरती पर

 एक औरत बहुत खुश थी
फिर धरती पर आकाश की ओर बढ़ने लगा
आते-जाते मौसम के बीच
दुधिया पहाड़ों के सौंदर्य को आंखों में उतारा
अग्निवाही अमलतास के फूलों से प्यार किया
और मैं बहुत खुश था, खिलता सौंदर्य देख
फिर बसंत आया और चला गया निर्विकार
पत्तों ने पीलापन ओढ़ लिया
सबेरे ओसकणों के भार से इतराती
फूलों की पंखुड़ियां झड़ने लगीं हवा में
और एक जंगल से दूसरे के बीच गुजरते हुए बार-बार
यही महसूस किया कि
जिस अंधेरे से आया था
वहीं अंधेरा छाया है धरती के आर पार।

In the Midst of Darkness
In the midst of darkness
I came to this earth
And a woman was very glad

And then I continued growing on the earth towards
the sky
I captured the beauty of
milky mountains amidst changing seasons
I loved the blood red flowers of
Amaltas (Cassia fistua) very happily the sweetness
of the blooming beauty around charmed me immensely
The spring set in and left passionless unnoticed

The leaves covered themselves with paleness
The petals of flowers proud of their dewdrops
in the moring started falling swept by the airs afterword
passing through one jungle to another

I felt, time and again, that the darkness so profound
that surrounded at the time of birth
Has set in again across and over the earth all around
